Milton wool processing plant now part of Ashford Handicrafts Ltd

To ensure the continuity of supply and quality for our customers of our wool slivers and wool/silk blends, we have purchased part of the Milton Woollen Mill previously known as Qualityarns.

We have purchased 2 x 200 kg dye vats, a steam boiler, 2 x industrial carding machines, 3 x combs, 3 x gills and a baller and leased around 12,000sq feet of the mill.

From January 16th 2012 we have employed four very skilled and qualified staff, from Qualityarns, who have over 100 years of combined experience in textiles. We are very pleased that the four staff have agreed to continue operating this plant for us.

We are also delighted that Kate Sherratt our Sales and Marketing Manager has accepted the role of managing our Milton division . 

We are very confident our expansion into wool processing will enhance our reputation of supplying high quality textile equipment and fibres for customers around the world.
